According to a report by AINA, ISIS and Assyrian and Kurdish fighters in the Has aka province in Northeast Syria. The fight which engulfed Tel Hurmiz, Tel Tamar, Tel Goran, Tel Baloaa, Tel Shamiran, Tel Roman, Tel Basra, Tel Khareta and Abu TRNA lead to the captured of dozens of Assyrian men, women and children.

The men were taken to an undisclosed location while the women and child were taken to the mountains and might be used as sex slaves.

Churches were destroyed, including one of the oldest churches in Syria, the Mar Bishop church in Tel Shamiran.

People being evacuated from the vilages

About 3000 people have been evacuated from the remaining inhabitants of the 35 villages on both sides of Khabur river.

Newsweek says, ISIS might use the Assyrian hostages for a prisoner swap with Kurdish fighters.

Calls made by relatives of the captives were answered by ISIS members telling them that nothing can be done to be done for the hostages.

Last week, ISIS beheaded 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya.

Personally, I believe all this happenings should be a wake up call for world leaders and Christians all over the world to cry out to God for help.

WHAT DOES SACRIFICE MEAN IN A RELATIONSHIP?

THE BEFORE

Anxiety isn't good when you are trying to conceive; first hand experience. And my anxiety wasn't just from me being disturbed about conceiving but from other factors too. THE YEAR HAS BEGAN.

The year 2018 was a blessed year for me. The year a significant change took place in my life; I became a mother to a glorious baby. This change didn't seem possible but just like the song writer said "my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ, my righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus' name. ..." . Well, here we are in a new year; 2019. Maybe you where told by the doctor you wouldn't make it to this year, but here you are. Circumstances challenged you to give up, but here you are. After experiencing 10 hours plus of labour, it didn't seem like my baby and I would make it but God made a way and we had victory. (story for another day) Our God is faithful!
