ISAIAH 61:3
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."
Let's see this instance of why people say "I can't praise God"
Tayo is a graduate of Chemical engineering, has been looking for a job for the past 12years but in spite of his struggles, he managed to get married and has two lovely kids. But still he is saying 'I can't give God praise'.
He has forgotten that it was this same God who saw him through school, helped him pay his fees when there was no hope of finishing school.
He graduated top of his class when his mates where lamenting with extra year.
He got a scholarship to carry out his Masters.
He got married, has two kids.
And yet He can't praise God.
How ungrateful is that?
Yes!, It may be true that you are not where you want to be but it is also true that you are not where you used to be. Therefore, God is faithful.
Why not be joyful and give God praise for where you are and for how far He has brought you in life.
Do you know that there are people that are praying to God to be at your level? Someone's prayer request somewhere is "oh Lord just make me reach the level where Mr A or Mrs B is and I will be OK". And you are there complaining and murmuring. Saying 'I can't praise God" Why shouldn't you?
Please, Be Grateful!
Be Thankful!
Give this your God Praise!

Praise is what gives wings to our prayers. How do I know this?
Remember Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." And they where set free.
God inhabits the praises of His people. When you pray, God sends answers through His angels but when you give Him praise, He comes down Himself in the fullness of His glory and majesty.
So change your heart of praise today and give this our God quality praise.
