HOW TO KEEP DESTROYING YOURSELF WITH WORRY AND ALSO OVERCOME.

📍We all worry way too much about so many things.  We worry about what everyone else thinks. ▪Are they going to judge me for writing? ▪Are they going to think I am weird for doing this? ▪Is this picture worth sharing? ▪Is my dress beautiful?  ▪Do I look fine?  We just worry.  But when you think about it.  Does it matter what everyone thinks? You can only look at their opinions and suggestions, pick what you want, and leave the rest. •What does your God think about you?  He has beautiful thoughts for us. •What do you think about yourself?  Your friends and family all love you (some do) and the people who get your message will appreciate you.  Stop overthinking and worrying about everything. 🔹I used to be this way (working on this). Until I began to make conscious efforts to stop worrying about everything.  •It is exhausting  •It takes a toll on your health.  •Worry causes high blood pressure. •Worrying can make you tired •Wor...

WHAT DOES SACRIFICE MEAN IN A RELATIONSHIP?

Every relationship requires some sacrifices. Even, a garden full of flowers requires sacrifice to tend it. It takes sacrifice for a farmer to reap good harvest. What does it mean to be sacrificial? Being sacrificial is being selfless and loving, all out for someone and even inconveniencing yourself. So, in your relationship, you say am not the "this type of person, I am not the that type of yen yen" and you know it can make that relationship blossom, why not make sacrifices and do it. it is called sacrificial love Maybe the sacrifice you have to make is understanding and patience, taking in the other person's mental health into consideration. Nobody was born a type of person.  School, parents, environment, experiences, church, etc ; shaped us into being some type of person. But, self centeredness and selfishness hinders us from making sacrifices. Even our Lord Jesus that died and resurrected was not the "dying type of person" to die for us, but He made that sacr...

SHE ISN'T A MISTAKE BUT A MIRACLE.

Lena Marie Johansson of Sweden was born with no arms, only one developed leg and foot, the other leg was shorter than the other. She is the first child of loving Christian parents. Who were despaired at first by their daughters drastic deformity but learned from the Bible on how to cope and help their handicapped daugther. Lena records in her book 'footnotes:a life without limits' that her parents treated her like every other normal person. She went to church, attended Sunday school classes. She developed her faith in God that she was not a mistake or a circumstance that just happened. Lena learned to use her feet to eat, to carry out basic self functions. She plays the keyboard and has conducted choirs; has a successful professional singing career. She has won swimming competitions and competed in Paralympics in Seoul, Korea. ...AND SHE PRAYED AGAIN

In the year 2006, i took seriously ill in boarding school that i had to be sent home to my mother. Something i didn't really like because of the financial constraints she had; we had to move from one part of the town to another part to enable her pay rent comfortably and reduce some of her expenses. So, i didn't want to increase it for her but all the same i was sent home. I was high with fever that you could feel the heat coming out of my body, headache, body aches and appetite was gone. My mum did all she could for days and nights nothing worked. She prayed; anointed me with oil, feet washing and  used the mantle. Nothing still worked. She resorted to calling her sister and brother in-law who are medical practitioners. They too ran all the test, gave me all forms of medication to atleast bring down my fever but it didnt work. I was weak, no food eaten; surviving on glucose D and ORS (oral rehydration solution). In the pain of it all, God still kept me. Prayers was ...

THE BRONZE SERPENT

The children of Israel were saved because they fixed their eyes on the bronze serpent (Numbers 21:8-9) and those who didn't perished. The bronze serpent on the pole represents Jesus. He even spoke about it in John 3:14-15. So, fix your eyes on Jesus and you shall be saved. He is the way to getting all your needs met. For in Jesus, you have life in abundance. For in Jesus, you wake up everyday and you just smile knowing He is the reason for your smile. For in Jesus, you walk head up high knowing He is working something out in your favour. For in Jesus, even in the midst of the storm you know you will not be harmed nor broken. Hallelujah! Don't loose focus!

ANVIL OF GOD'S WORD.

Last eve I passed beside a blacksmith’s door And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime: Then looking in, I saw upon the floor Old hammers, worn with beating years of time. “How many anvils have you had,” said I, “To wear and batter all these hammers so?” “Just one,” said he, and then, with twinkling eye, “The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.” And so, thought I, the anvil of God’s word, For ages skeptic blows have beat upon; Yet though the noise of falling blows was heard, The anvil is unharmed . . . the hammer’s gone. AUTHOR OF THIS POEM HAS BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN CLIFFORD , 1836-1923.

ANGEL CAME

When i was 8 or 9 years as of the time of this story i want to share with you. My siblings and i got back from school and informed our mother of payment of fees. That the deadline was set for the next day and failure to pay our fees will lead to us being sent out of school. My widowed mother with five children calmly said she has heard us but first we should go and inform our Father. Our father here did not mean our biological father but our heavenly Father. We went into our room and knelt and told God that we needed our fees to be paid. And we said Amen with so much faith believing He has heard us. And we came and told my mum that we have informed Him. She asked us what God said when we told Him. And we said "nothing". And she said lets wait and hear from Him. My mother had no money to pay our fees.  That night, i heard her crying and praying and praising God for the money He is going to send the next day for our fees. Morning came. She dress...

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.

One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene, I noticed footprints in the sand, Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,  other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I follow You You would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during  the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, You have not been there me? " The Lord replied, "The times when you have  seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you. BY MARY STEVENSON. Copyright © 1984 Mary Stevenson, from original 1936 text, All rights reserve
