God is still doing strange works and strange acts among His people. He did not end sign and wonders  in the old and new testament era. He is still working wonders, miracles and breakthroughs. LUKE 18:1-8 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2  Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4  And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. Things don't just go away, you make them go. Things don't just happen, you make them happen. The widow in our scriptures today showed persistence in her asking in verses 3-5. Matthew  7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? What do you need? What do you want? Ask your Father in Heaven and He is sure to give it to you. He is a God that gives good gifts to His Children. Note: His 'children'. You have to be His child to have the right to ask Him of anything. Meaning, you have to be born again; John 3:3-7. And then you have that right to ask freely. Again I ask, what do you need?
